Hello ASW members,

In browsing through this Sub Forum, I thought there were many posts which do not quite meet what I would consider showcasing an aquascape. Some followed a journal format, others were off topic, etc. I will be moving those threads that do not meet a minimum of having a finished aquascape photo to the Aquascaping Journal subforum. I'd like to suggest an easy to follow format for those wishing to create a thread within this sub forum.

Thought I would show you my emersed scape, a few members on here have already seen the scape over at glass box gardeners or the barr report.

I was aiming for a cliff edge style scape, high rockwork with a beach type of foreground.

Some details:

TMC Signature 600Wx450Dx300H
TMC Aquaray 1500 Tile

30+kg of Seiryu Stone / Mini Lanscape Rock
White Sand and Gravel. (I may change this as I used what I already had available)

For the substrate I used some old eco complete that's mixed with...

It's just 1 month old so it need more time to complete.

Dimension: 89 x 48 x 48
Light: 1 x 150W metal 8000k, 2 x 36 W PL
Filter: 1 x Eheim 2217
Substrate: ADA Africana + Powersand

Hello everyone !

Just joined the forum today, so, as my first post I will share my "nano" tank 1st scape with you all.

Fluval Spec 5 tank -
Biomax rings and carbon, heated - 80 °fahr
Lighting - Finnex Fugeray Planted + 16

Methods -
Regular weekly water changes.
Eco-complete substrate with Osmocote plus substrate fertilizer
Co2 dosing daily.
Moss tied with black thread to rock and spiderwood

Hi, I am new to this forum. Here is my tank. I am hoping to finally get a low-iron rimless tank this December, and will probably rescape over school break. Let me know what you think... The hair dryer isn't because I have too much homework to deal with, it is for the ripple effect. :D I didn't use any tangible inspiration for this layout. Just one of those scapes that comes out of your head. I don't know if that is a good or bad thing, and it may be a little more abstract, but sometimes that...

This is my first attempt at aquascaping. I purchased a 20 gallon rimless tank, CO2 system, Amazonia Soil and misc. rocks and drift wood. Looking to purchase plants for the layout tomorrow. Will update post with progress after planting. Picture was taken about 1 hour after turning on pump, so water clarity is still coming around. Was much clearer this morning. Think the cloudy water makes it look cool as resembles a foggy morning.

My next tank. It is a 120x50x50cm (OW). Planted and filled 22.10.2015. Plants are from Tropica.

Light: 4x54 T5: 2 x 6500 K, 2 x 5800 K (10h).
Substrate: ADA Power Sand Special, ADA Soil New Amazonia.
Fertilization: pressurized CO2 (1,5 kg) with glass diffuser; ADA Bright K, Step 1, Green Bacter and JBL Denitrol. Aquarium and nutrients from: sklep.roslinyakwariowe.pl.
Filtration: Eheim Professionel 3 2075 and RO + mineraliser
Plants: Micranthemum umbrosum...

About 10 days ago I set up this tank. The concept is some wood lying at a rocky and sandy edge of a river. The rotalas in the background have started to touch the water surface today, will trim them soon :)
